The position is responsible for providing case management to parents and families as part of the greater Shepparton ParentsNext Program.
The aim of the ParentsNext pre-employment program is to assist parents with young children to plan and prepare for employment once their youngest child reaches school age. This program provides intervention and support through strengths-based and early intervention strategies that are holistic, and family centered.
Position Outline
The successful applicant will have knowledge about the causes and consequences of unemployment and an understanding of current social issues and challenges faced by families. The ParentsNext Case Manager is responsible for assisting participants to undertake activities consistent within their Participation Plan.
The position is also responsible for establishing and building relationships and partnerships with service and employment providers to develop and facilitate opportunities for clients.
