Term 1 2021 Newsletter

Please welcome our new coordinator to the Gowola Homework Club, Tina Thompson. Tina is currently part time at St. Mary’s Mooroopna Primary School.

Hey Parents & Volunteers,

It has been a great start to the year. This term has flown. I have enjoyed getting to know all the children there likes and strengths. They have welcomed me with their wit and sense of humor. All the children have taken leadership in showing me and telling me all about the club as a whole and what Rumbalara Football Netball Club is to them. They settled in well and know their routine. They are enjoying sitting around eating together, they chat so much, laugh and their respect for each other shines through. They are happy to move to their tables with their volunteer. There are activity sheets on the table and materials that aid them in their learning which they are very engaged with and are excited to show me what they are learning and how. The volunteers are very supportive and are encouraging to the children guiding them in their education.

Again, it has been a very happy, entertaining and busy term. The children have worked hard, and I hope they all enjoy the holidays.
