Aboriginal community members of the Goulburn Murray Region are invited to attend consultation meetings to provide input into the shape and design of the new Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence to be built as part of the Shepparton Sports Precinct.
About the Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence
The Munarra Centre for Regional Excellence is an ambitious project to deliver a new sporting and education facility connected to RFNC and located to the south of the RFNC in the Sport Precinct.
The Centre will build on the success of the Rumbalara Football and Netball Club, and the Academy for Sports, Health and Education (ASHE) and contribute to educational, leadership, cultural expression and employment opportunities for the local Aboriginal community.
The complex will become a new home for ASHE and will focus on the strengthening of culture and identity, and support research and applications of Indigenous knowledge within STEM, while building a healthier, stronger community and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
Your voice, aspirations and input are important in the development phase of the project to make sure it delivers upon the aspirations of the community.
