Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment, in whatever you are doing. You can practice mindfulness while walking, resting, eating and even playing sports, just to name a few.
The practice of mindfulness helps us to be aware of what is happening around us and to slow our thoughts down. We live in a very busy world and our mind is constantly thinking.
If we think too much about the past, this can bring up feelings of sadness, regret and grief. If we thinking too much about the future, this can bring up feelings of fear, anxiety and frustration.
Being mindful helps us to focus on what is right in front of us, it can give us the strength to overcome many challenges, promote wellbeing and feel happier within.
