Algabonyah Driver Mentor Program

The Algabonyah Driver Mentor Program (ADMP) was established to create a culturally safe driving program for young Aboriginal people between 16-20 years of age living within the Goulburn Valley region.

The ADMP aims to break down barriers that prevent young people from obtaining their licence by providing access and support to local Indigenous young people living within the Goulburn Valley Region who do not have the resources necessary to obtain their learner driver licence and achieve 120 hours of driving experience required to gain their probationary licence.

The Rumbalara Football Netball Club (RFNC) seeks to develop the ADMP as a response to the many social and economic disadvantages Indigenous young people face when obtaining their learner and probationary licence. These disadvantages play a major role in preventing young people from securing sustainable employment.
