Rumbalara FNC Return to Training

The following information outlines the resumption of training dates, training times for each team and guidelines we all need to follow.

Get in, Train, Get Out.

That’s the motto we need everyone to keep thinking to themselves when we resume football and netball training.

Making training COVIDsafe is a community effort and will require some things that we have never had to do before.

If you recently attended a rally, please get tested for COVID-19 before resuming training.

The current restrictions for outdoor group training is up to 20 people per session and to make training for all teams possible, the Club will be divided into 3 zones: AFL Group A, AFL Group B and Netball.

Each zone has its own designated entry and exit points, Junior player drop off / pick up area, and player parking.

All traffic is one way. Turn left as you enter the Club grounds and follow the signs to your designated area. Do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your training session starts. No socialising or handshakes are allowed.

If you arrive after training has begun, you will not be allowed to join. Please ensure you have checked in with your coach during the 15min period before training begins.

To keep numbers to a minimum we cannot allow parents/guardians to stay with their Junior player to socialise or spectate. All Junior players must be dropped off and picked up at the Player’s designated area to check in with the coach. This will take time with one car at a time. Please be patient as we check in your Junior player.

Return to Training - Site Map

When you enter at your designated zone entry point, you will be required to check in with your coach for attendance tracking and a temperature check. We are temperature checking because our mob is high risk.

If you are feeling sick or unwell, do not come to training.

Each entry point will have a hand sanitation station. Please wash your hands at home before training, on arrival (using the hand sanitiser provided) and after training.

All training is strictly no contact until further notice. Physical / social distancing measures are still in place and we all must remain two big steps (1.5m) apart at all times. This means no tackling, bumping, marking contests or game play.

All Club buildings and facilities will be closed until further notice. No change rooms, showers or toilets will be available, except for emergency or medical use. Please arrive at the Club ready to train and leave immediately once your training session has concluded.

Please bring your own labelled drink bottles. There will be no taps available at the Club to fill or refill with water. Do not share your drink bottle with others. Do not spit onto the ground at any time.

Please wash your training clothes after each session in warm water and detergent.

Training dates and times

All training sessions will be a maximum of 45 minutes.

All coaches have completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Training.

Your coach will advise of your designated training zone and if training is going ahead for that week’s session.

We all must continue to play an important role in reducing the spread of COVID-19. We are fortunate to have very few cases in our region, but we must remain strong and look after our community. Our mob is high risk and while we want to see you all playing sport again as soon as possible, we must take careful steps to resume community sport.

We understand that the changing restrictions and COVIDsafe information is difficult to follow. We are following the Chief Medical Officer, the Victorian Government and Greater Shepparton City Council’s advice. The outlined Return to Training program will operate in this format over the coming weeks until further notice from the Club.

The League and AFL Victoria are still working on the date of resumption for competition and we will update you when we know more. If the decision to cancel the season is made for the safety of the community, we will explore playing some friendly matches when it is safe to do so. For now, let’s get our fitness back up and ready for play to resume.

If you have any questions, please contact your coach.

Stay strong. Stay safe.
