What is social & emotional wellbeing

Welcome to Wellbeing Wednesday. Join Kevin Singh, Rumbalara FNC’s Social & Wellbeing Practitioner each week.

The term ‘Social & Emotional Wellbeing’ is used by many Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to describe the social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing of a person.

This term recognises the important connection a person has to their land, culture, spirituality, family, and community to truly feel content, and positive in life.

Life can and will, throw many challenges at us which can impact on our wellbeing, this can range from everyday stress and/or major life events (like COVID-19).

This is when we need turn to each other for strength and understanding.

Proud, Strong Family.
